Christmas spirit shines through at Coffee with a Cop, Sunnybank Hills

On Thursday December 13, police from the Centenary Crime Prevention Unit, Acacia Ridge Police Station, and Police Liaison officers were joined by Volunteers in Policing (VIPs) for Coffee with a Cop at Sunnybank Hills Shopping Centre.

This event was supported and funded by local Councillor of Runcorn Ward, Kim Marx who is encouraging of police educating the local community about personal safety and home security measures.

This event also ran in conjunction with ‘Operation Wake’ up which is a South Brisbane Police District targeted approach to reducing fatal and serious crashes through proactive traffic enforcement and community engagement and education.

Police and Volunteers in Policing (VIPs) got into the Christmas spirit with their Santa hats bringing a lot of joy through speaking with the local community about crime prevention and general safety as well as traffic related questions.

Queensland Police urge you to drive safely on the roads, especially over the busy Christmas period. Wake up to Road Safety!
