Southern Gold Coast locals had the opportunity to meet officers from Palm Beach Police Division at the Pines Shopping Centre Elanora.
Police engaged with numerous locals including some very young potential recruits!
Many of the inquiries related to traffic matters, suspicious activity in local parks and an upcominganti-theft screws event.
Police talked with approximately 40 locals who were all happy to see their local officers.
Community engagement is a vital aspect of policing and events such as this allow the community to have access to police where they normally may not call or attend a station to have their inquiries answered.
There was an inquiry in relation to a resident wanting to start a local Neighbour Hood Watch group as well as several questions about volunteering. Outcomes like this make the effort very worthwhile.
Thank you to all who came along.
Another Coffee with a Cop event is scheduled for February 20 at the Stocklands Shopping Centre, Burleigh Heads.
We hope to see even more friendly faces there!
