Police Constable Mark McCabe

Constable Mark McCabe, a native of Dublin Ireland, has been a police officer with Toronto Police Service since 2005.

Mark completed training at the Ontario Police College and was transferred to 41 Division, in the east end of Toronto. While at 41 Division, he was assigned to a platoon, where he worked in the primary response and traffic response units. He then spent six years in the Community Relations and Crime Prevention unit. During that time he started a number of crime prevention initiatives. A highlight of those initiatives was the Coffee with a Cop program.

Mark started Coffee with a Cop in Toronto, in 2015. Since then, he has assisted other Toronto Police divisions, and Canadian police services start the program.

Mark has received numerous letters of recognition for his hard work in the community. He continues to assist victims of crime, develop crime prevention strategies, and build relationships in the community.
In March 2020 Mark was assigned as the Vulnerable Persons Coordinator at the Community Partnership and Engagement Unit of Toronto Police.
