Wichita Falls police visit with public during Coffee With a Cop event

Dozens of members of the community stopped by for their usual morning caffeine fix and were greeted by several members of the Wichita Falls Police Department who made themselves available to answer questions or just say ‘Hey’.

Twenty-two year veteran officer Brian Masterson, currently assigned to the Community Services Unit, says, “It’s just a way for the community to get out and visit with us, get to know us on a more personal level.”

Often people only have contact with an officer during a stressful time like a traffic violation or as a victim of a crime.

Seven-year-old Enrique Hernandez attended the event with his mother, Lynda Hernandez, and he came dressed in a full junior police officer uniform and was a hit with the police officers and employees .
