Boksburg North SAPS and the local Community Police Forum (CPF) invited all zonal district stations, including officials from the provincial head office, to an awareness campaign, ‘Coffee with a Cop’, to engage with the community about issues concerning their services to them.
The event took place at the East Rand Mall on October 31. The initiative was meant to create a relationship between police, CPF, stakeholders and the community.
It was also part of community mobilisation.
“During the initiative, we also created awareness about gender-based violence against women and children abuse as we head towards the 16 days of activism programme against women and children abuse,” said Boksburg North SAPS spokesperson, Const Justice Ramaube.
“We thank our sponsors who made this project possible to make sure our community receives the service they need,” said Ramaube.
