It may look like McDonald’s owner and operator Jim Lewis is facing some tough questioning by the NYPD, but no — he’s really just hosting a recent Coffee with a Cop day at his eatery at 32-55 31 St. in Astoria.
The policemen — who maybe already finished their coffee or just skipped it — are Neighborhood Coordination Officers Cole Ferraro, left, and Borys Bedoya of the 114th Precinct. They patrol the precinct’s Sector Charlie the old-fashioned way, walking the beat, while also meeting with residents at events like this Oct. 3 Coffee with a Cop.
“McDonald’s is proud to partner with local police departments and community stakeholders to discuss issues facing the residents and local businesses in our area,” Paul Hendel, a McDonald’s owner and president of the New York Tri-state Owner/Operators Association, said in a statement. “As Owner/Operators, we are honored to host this event and provide a common ground for us to build relationships that will allow us to work together more closely in the future.”
