Lithgow residents meet and engage with local police at ‘coffee with a cop’

Picture: ALANNA TOMAZIN.Officers from the Chifley Police District came together with members of the community to discuss issues, build relationships and drink coffee on Thursday, July 4.

The coffee with a cop initiative was held at Hometown Cafe on Lithgow’s Main Street and provided community members with a unique opportunity to learn more about local police work.

“It’s a rare opportunity for locals to meet and engage with local police,” Chief Inspector Chris Sammut, said.
