Le Mars coffee shop hosts ‘Coffee With A Cop’

Le Mars Police officers got the chance to meet with the community Wednesday for some good conversation and some good coffee.

‘Coffee With a Cop’ was hosted by Bellissimos Coffee Works in Le Mars. The event lets officers and residents build a relationship and share what matters in the community in an informal setting.

Le Mars Police officer John Vickery says it’s a great opportunity to reach out to people they wouldn’t normally interact with.

“It’s nice for us to get out to know the community a little bit better, people that we maybe wouldn’t come into contact with during the duties of our job and that way people can get to know us as well,” said Vickery.

The event also helped Bellissimos Coffee Works celebrate their 2nd anniversary.
