Frederick officers meet with community for Coffee with a Cop

The Frederick Police Department teamed up with Anytime Fitness Whittier, for the annual Coffee with a Cop.

Police officers and the public enjoyed donuts, bagels, and warm coffee.

Officers said events like these are crucial because they are building relationships and making long lasting connections with the communities they serve.

“Let us know what you are seeing, if you have any concerns or issues. It is very informal, casual, opportunity. We really like coming out and do these events because it’s an opportunity to talk to the community,” said Michele Bowman, Public Information Officer, Frederick Police Department.

The department hopes to continue this national initiative supported by the United States Department of Justice and the Office of Community Orientated Policing Services.
