Fanwood Police Address Neighborhood Concerns at Coffee with a Cop

Coffee2.pngChief Richard Trigo and senior members of the Fanwood police addressed residents’ concerns on Wednesday, Oct. 3, “National Coffee with a Cop Day.”

The officers answered questions about traffic, parking and Fanwood Train station parking pass sign-ups, among other topics, during the two-hour session held at Railside Cafe (formerly Mara’s) in Fanwood.

At Coffee with a Cop events in small towns and big cities alike, police officers and citizens learn about each other, form bonds, and grow relationships that helped weave the fabric of a better community. The concept began in 2011 a simple idea on how to build better relationships with the citizens in Hawthorne, CA, ended up making a huge impact across the country. Since Coffee with a Cop’s humble beginnings, there have been thousands of events in all 50 states.
