Hot coffee on a cool fall day goes a long way to bridge the relationship between the public and local law enforcement. McDonalds and Allen County Law enforcement teamed up again for another coffee with a cop. This time the event took on a fall theme with kids dress up in Halloween costumes and got the chance to paint pumpkins.

“It’s great when we can bring the kids out. Let them know not to be scared of us, we are here to help them,” says Ptl. Brittney Wyerick. “We want them to come to us if they have an issue. It’s more like a one on one relationship, sit down paint pumpkins with them and tell them we are people just like them.”

Parents could also get a DNA card made for their kids to keep on hand.
