Cops and Community Members Get Together for Coffee

In part of National Coffee With A Cop Day, Fayetteville police started their day at Rick’s Bakery in an effort to build relationships within the community.

Young and old joined the local heroes for fresh coffee and warm donuts, making jokes and just talking like old friends.

Cpl. Tiffney Lindley said they hold this event every couple months to show the community that behind the uniform they are just regular people.

“We want people to know that we’re normal humans and that we are here for them and that we are willing to listen to any issues, address issues and we want to know people’s thoughts and concerns,” Lindley said.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office, Arkansas State Police and Arkansas Highway Patrol also were a part of the event.
