People in Concord had a chance to get to know some of the city’s police officers a little better Thursday evening.

The department held its latest “Coffee with a Cop” event on Main Street, giving residents the chance to ask an officer whatever they wanted to know about police work and operations.

Officers said it’s also a chance for them to meet the people they serve.

“It’s also a two-way street, though, because we also want to know what problems are going on in your area that you may want to talk to us (about),” said Officer Ryan Howe, of Concord police. “It’s just a nice environment and nice event that you can come talk to us.”

Concord police, as well as departments all over the state, hold these kinds of events regularly.
