Having coffee with a cop is quickly becoming a Chicopee tradition.
Officer Mike Wilk greeted customers at the Chick-fil-A restaurant on Memorial Drive Saturday morning. It’s become the official site for these frequent, informal talks with the Saturday morning crowd.
Visitors passing through from Albany, New York, got to experience the simulated experience of the condition you’re in while drinking and driving.
Jacob Daellembeck told 22News, “It’s definitely interesting, and it gives people who never experienced it an idea of what it’s like and how dangerous it can be.”
Officer Wilk likes to change things up so that each session of coffee with a cop provides something new and useful for both Chicopee residents or out-of-towners just passing through.
