“Coffee With A Cop” brings Middleton community together

An event Tuesday in Middleton brought police officers and the community together to discuss important issues over coffee.

Today the McDonald’s at 2626 Allen Blvd. hosted “Coffee With A Cop.” The event offered a chance for people in Middleton to get to know their local police officers and learn more about what they do.

The event is part of Police Appreciation Week. Officers encouraged people attending to ask them anything they were curious about.

“Any questions they might have for us they’re not comfortable asking outside of this setting, which is a great way for us to build that relationship,” said Middleton Police Officer Kimberly Wood. “We think it’s very important.”

Officer Wood says the Middleton Police Department is planning a similar event in the future, which will be at Hurts Donut Company.
