On Friday, August 18 several officers from the Concord Police Department participated in “Coffee with a Cop” at the McDonald’s restaurant located on the corner of Concord Mills Boulevard and Christenbury Parkway.
During the event citizens stopping by for breakfast had the opportunity to meet and talk with officers in a casual setting. Some customers were surprised when they received their drive-thru orders from officers.
Sgt. Mike Franklin even received training on the do’s and don’ts when constructing a Big Mac.
Both the officers and McDonald’s staff said they enjoyed the event and look forward to the next opportunity to meet.
