DISCUSSING DOGS: Suzanne Arena sat down with Chief of Police Col. Michael Winquist during the Coffee with a Cop gathering to discuss a recent incident involving a dog bite in her neighborhood.Members of the Cranston Police Department visited the Dunkin’ Donuts location on Sockanosett Cross Road as part of National Coffee with a Cop Day. Residents stopped in throughout the morning to discuss concerns in their neighborhoods and the overall crime rate in the city.

“Events such as Coffee with a Cop provide members of our police department and community with the opportunity to make face to face introductions, as well as share information in a relaxed and informal setting,” Police Chief Col. Michael Winquist said in a statement. “Conversations at these events are intimate and personal, important to both the residents and the officers speaking with them. These conversations have led to many quality of life issues being addressed expeditiously.”
