Beating the outback heat at Coffee with a CopOn Wednesday December 19, Barcaldine Police conducted a road safety initiative in the main street of town next to the iconic Tree of Knowledge. Coffee with a Cop turned into Frappe’ with the Fuzz as the heat descended on outback Queensland.

Passing motorists and members of the community stopped for a refreshing iced coffee with police in a bid for police to engage with members of the community and break down barriers one cup at a time.

Police discussed the StreetSmarts initiative, the importance of road safety, and gave motorists the opportunity to take a well-earned rest from their drive.

Police enjoyed the opportunity to have real conversations with the community and to discuss any questions they had.

Barcaldine Police would like to wish everyone a merry Christmas and encourage all motorists to drive safe during these holidays.
