National Coffee with a Cop Day

We were informed by the US Department of Justice Office of Oriented Policing Services (COPS Office) about their 3rd annual National Coffee with a Cop Day. We are going to hold our first of what we hope becomes an annual event here in Freeport to coordinate with other law enforcement agencies in all 50 states and five foreign countries for the 2018 event. Chief of Police Todd Barkalow, City Manager Lowell Crow and myself will be at the Boys and Girls Club/King Center at 511 South Liberty on Wednesday, October 3 from 9 to 10 AM. Come join us for a cup of coffee and meaningful conversation. No agendas – no barriers – just a willingness to sit down, listen and have a conversation over a cup of coffee.
