It’s National Coffee With a Cop Day!

On Wednesday, October 3, 2018, from 7:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m., The Sow’s Ear will host “Coffee with a Cop” at 125 South Main Street, in the City of Verona.

The “Coffee with a Cop” program allows members of the community to come and meet members of the Verona Police Department in a neutral space and ask questions, share their concerns about community issues, or just become acquainted with some members of the department and enjoy a free cup of coffee through a donation from our partnership with the Sow’s Ear Coffee Shop. In most instances, the contact a citizen has with the police is typically under negative circumstances such as an emergency, through an emotional event, or during a traffic stop. The “Coffee with a Cop” program provides an opportunity for citizens to meet with police officers in a relaxed environment where any topic can be discussed and the police and community can gain a greater understanding of each other.

No agenda. No speeches. No presentations… Just coffee and conversation.
