Locals join marshal’s office staff for Coffee with a Cop

Talking politics, a little crime, and football, area residents gathered to drink coffee and eat doughnuts on Monday morning for Coffee with a Cop.

Organized by Deputy Joe Hochanadel, the event gave locals the chance to meet with Marshal Joe McIntyre and his staff during a non-stressful meeting at the Pine River Senior Center.

Some young Bayfield residents and their visiting relatives, who had started Thanksgiving break playing rescue heroes, came by to say hi, as well.

The marshal’s office hopes to host the events every few months, McIntyre said. Coffee and snacks provide an opportunity to talk and get to know officers outside of traffic stops and investigations.
