Local law enforcement congregated at the Market St. McDonald’s to get some coffee with their community.
Coffee with a Cop held their Fall Festival, inviting families to come out to get to know their local law officers and do some fun, fall-centered activities. The event allows kids and adults to see a more relaxed side of their law enforcement but it also educates them on some safety tips for the fall and winter seasons.
“Some different things that we want people to focus on like first is trick or treat safety and also holiday safety with the holiday season coming upon us rather rapidly,” said Lima Police Chief Kevin Martin. “We want to get people thinking in the right mode so that they can have really fun, enjoyable times without being the victims of crime or car crashes, or anything else that could take an otherwise great time of the year and make it very tragic.”
The next Coffee with a Cop event will take place at Fresh N Faded on November 17, 2018, from 11 am- 1 pm.
