Retired Police Sergeant Marc Tremblay

Retired Police Sergeant Marc Tremblay was a police officer for the city of Saint Eustache from August 1986 untill his retirement in May 2017.He commenced his police career as a constable and in 1989 was promoted to team supervisor. In 1991, after successfully completing his Sergeant’s exams, he was promoted to the rank of Sergeant. This rank was effective till 2014 when Sergeant Tremblay applied for the position which entailed increased responsibilities and tasks.

During his career he continued his studies and obtained in 2000, a Bachelor of Business Administration(BBA) and a certificate in Work Relations from the University of Quebec.(UQAM)

On March 10th, 2014, he was the selected candidate and was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in charge of traffic control, crime prevention and media.

He was also an elected member of his syndicate and during his career held the positions of secretary and president.

Prior to his retirement he assisted Coffee with a Cop with the cooperation of six police forces from the North Shore of Quebec, Canada. He was the adminstrator of the French Facebook group of Café avec un Policier. One year after his retirement in May 2018, he was contacted by Sgt Chris Cognac, from the Hawthorne California Police Dept to see if he was interested in developing and keeping the Coffee with a Cop program active. Marc Tremblay accepted the challenge with enthusiasm. His mandate would be to assure the function of Coffee with a Cop for the province of Quebec. He is fluently bilingual in both French and English. He is looking forward to expanding and exchanging ideas with those who are involved with Coffee with a Cop.
