Americus, GA Coffee with a Cop

The residents of Americus, Georgia and Sumter County, Georgia, alongside the Americus Police Department and the Sumter County Sheriff’s Department, are planning a morning of sharing, community discussion and warm appreciation on April 5, 2017 at Bittersweet Coffee House. This date was selected, as it would have been Nick Smarr’s 26th birthday. Officer Smarr and his long-time friend Jody Smith, a Georgia Southwestern University officer were killed in the line of duty on December 7th, 2016 in Americus.
