The Little Rock police took one of their most popular community programs to a fast growing section of the city.

“Coffee with a Cop” came to the Outlets of Little Rock in the Otter Creek area of West Little Rock.  The idea is to give the public a chance to chat with officers over a free cup of coffee.

With the outlet mall and Bass Pro in that area, concerns are a little different for this neighborhood compared to other places “Coffee with a Cop” has visited recently.

“You’ll get alarms and things like that and you want to make sure that you get out here and respond that’s why we have officers out here that work this area to make sure that we get out here quickly,” said Officer Antwoine Hudson

Officer Hudson says so far the police presence in the Otter Creek area has kept the shopping area free of young people who in his words “look to cause trouble.”
