Coffee With a Cop
On Tuesday, August 21, 2018, officers from the Brawley Police Department, members of the Imperial County Area Agency on Aging (AAA) and community members will come together in an informal and friendly atmosphere to discuss community issues, build relationships, and enjoy a cup of coffee.
Coffee with a Cop provides a unique opportunity for community members to engage with and learn more about the department’s work in Brawley’s neighborhoods and business areas. Coffee with a Cop is a national initiative supported by The United States Department of Justice, Office of Community Oriented Policing Services. Similar events are being held across the country, as local police departments strive to make lasting connections with the communities they serve. The program aims to advance the practice of community policing through improving relationships between police officers and community members.
All community members are invited to attend. The event is being held between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. on August 21, 2018 at Brownie’s Diner, located at 990 Main Street. Please contact Commander Brett Houser with questions: (760) 344-2111, firstname.lastname@example.org
