Coloring with a Cop

The Marco Island Police Department frequently conducts events at local establishments entitled “Coffee with the Cops”, where it seeks to engage the public in a non-enforcement / friendly atmosphere, with the goal of learning the community’s concerns and priorities, establishing relationships and building trust. As these events are early in the morning the Department believes it may be missing an opportunity to connect with families with school-age children – who have unique or specific concerns as well. In an endeavor to make additional or new community connections, the Department will begin to hold family-friendly events called “Coloring with the Cops”, where it will provide an opportunity for families with school-age children to interact with the Marco Island Police Department. The events will be held at the Marco Island Police Station and feature police vehicle tours, kids activities, cookies and an opportunity to interact with your Marco Island Police Officers. We hope to see you at our first “Coloring with the Cops” on August 10, 2019, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm!
