Officer Jason Boquer-Wintjen

Jason Boquer-Wintjen has been a police officer with the Honolulu Police Department since 2003.  He has worked in patrol and community policing throughout his career.  Officer Boquer-Wintjen was the driving force behind getting Coffee with a Cop to Hawaii, and has helped some of the outer islands start Coffee with a Cop programs of their own.
Officer Boquer-Wintjen promotes many of the 21st Century Policing concepts to fellow officers and the public, but is adamant about individual officers being able to rebuild trust and legitimacy with the public they serve.  His community based efforts include developing a Junior Campus Police Officer program for elementary school children in central Oahu who have limited positive interaction with law enforcement, bridging working conditions between the military on Oahu and local law enforcement pertaining to criminal case exchanges, and offering crime prevention and safety awareness workshops to the community.
Officer Boquer-Wintjen holds a MS Degree from the University of Phoenix in Administration of Justice and Security.  To give back to those aspiring for higher education, Officer Boquer-Wintjen teaches criminal justice grant and government funding classes with the University of Phoenix at the Kapolei campus and in an online capacity.
