About 20 people took up the opportunity to enjoy a ‘Coffee with a Cop’ last Wednesday morning in Deniliquin.

Now an annual NSW Police Force initiative, the event gives people the chance to voice any community concerns, ask questions and get to know local officers.

Gwenda Darling was one of the people who attended, travelling from Finley to show her appreciation of local police.

‘‘Police go above and beyond and do all they can; they are absolutely marvellous,’’ she said.

‘‘A morning like this gives us the chance to openly our thanks.

‘‘Being in a regional area it’s very different because they don’t have as many resources compared to a city. That is why I have decided to donate a coffee machine to the officers in Finley.’’

The ‘Coffee with a Cop’ was held at Brontes cafe in Napier St. Police on hand included Inspector John Aichinger.
