Citizens of Findlay and Hancock County had the opportunity to get to know a few of their law enforcement officers Saturday morning.

Members from the Findlay Police Department and the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office were at Coffee Amici Saturday morning for their “Coffee With a Cop” event. “Coffee With a Cop” is a nationwide event where people can talk with local law enforcement in a more casual setting, allow people to see that those in law enforcement are more than just a uniform.

“We’re in a public place and it’s good just to get a little bit of that personalization and make sure that they know the cops are friendly, and that we’re here to help,” said Beth Baker, Crime Prevention Specialist for Hancock County Sheriff’s Office. “We’ve also got great tips from people that aren’t sure about something going on in the neighborhood, and we will help them work through those processes.”

The “Coffee With a Cop” event is held every month.
