Delaware police department’s “Coffee With a Cop” program led to the arrest of a woman wanted in Maryland.

News outlets report that officers with the Ellendale Police Department received the tip May 26 during the coffee gathering. It’s designed to help police and the community get to know each other.

On Friday a woman matching the description received by police was seen walking on Main Street. Police stopped her and identified her using a hand-held fingerprint scanner.

Twenty-one-year-old Lonnece Conway was wanted in Wicomico County, Maryland, for violating probation on charges including forgery and theft.

She was turned over to authorities in Maryland.
