Bendigo Coffee With A Cop A Success

Bendigo’s held its first Coffee with a Cop initiative yesterday in Hargreaves Mall.
It saw residents come down to the Bendigo Original Pie Shop and share a complimentary coffee with an officer and exchange information in an informal setting.
The City of Greater Bendigo funded the event with support from Victoria Police and the Bendigo Safe Community Forum.
Police will be looking to hold one every month from here on in to improve interactions between the force and the community – information on future events will be posted on the Bendigo Eyewatch Facebook Page.
Inspector Shane Brundell is hoping the monthly meetups will help reduce the fear some residents have with police.
